It’s 1230 AM right now. That means I will be leaving the States to Peru in 6 hours, and I’m super excited!!! I will be keeping up on this blog just so everyone knows I’m alive. (and also for me to remember the trip by). I’ve always wanted to travel to another country to volunteer to study abroad, so when I heard of how cheap this volunteering program is, I signed right up! Peru is a beautiful country that contains Machu Picchu, the famous ancient city of the Incas. I will be volunteering for 2 weeks, then find a tour to hike my butt up to the city.
The website said that they have a medical program, but I guess they don’t run it during the summer. Therefore, my cousin and I will sort of start one on our own. Since she’s a dental student, she’s bringing 2 boxes of dental supplies for the kids (floss, toothbrushes, etc..). I’m giving them Starburst candies (which one of my friends has graciously donated), color pencils, and band-aids. It’s not much and doesn’t really relate to a medical program (except for the band-aid), but I sort of focus more on what they need. After I’ve given them away there should be plenty of space for me to grab souvenirs for the family and friends at home. Though I’m on a budget, I plan to go all out this trip. Speaking of friends a family, I just want to give them all the credit for the tremendous amount of support they have given me for this trip. Whether through monetary or supplies donations or emotional support, they have been the best!
Trip starts soon. I’ll keep ya’ll posted. =]

I graduated today.. whoohoo! though technically I will be coming back in the fall to finish up my degree with just one more class left. But that’s not the point. I’ve had an amazing experience throughout this 4 years, sure, thanks to the support of my parents, relatives, and of course, my wonderful boyfriend. This is a conversation we just had 5 minutes ago via texts, just to let you know how mushy we are, haha:
me: Thank you for everything honey. =] you are officially my college sweetheart
him: And u are officially the light in my life
me: =). I thought ive always been?
him: Now its official
me: Haha. Hooray :)
Yup. it’s all love folks. and of course we all know he’s really scared of me cause im the strongest one in the relationship

Just saw this post on Yahoo.com. Titled as “25 Ways to clean with vinegar,” it’s about the difference ways that one can utilize vinegar in the everyday cleaning, obviously. And as I am a very frugal person, I love any advice or tips on how to do things more efficiently without burning holes through the wallets. I’m actually itching to try out #5; our dishwasher at home is GROSS! My roomates, god bless their hardworking souls, actually spent last Friday’s afternoon scrubbing it down. We haven’t been able to use it… nay, we decided not to use it for a couple of months due to its disgusting moldy infestation. They scrubbed it down with soap and water WITHOUT any air masks! Crazy? Yes. But I still love them. Scrubbing on molds actually fluffs up the colonies, allowing their spores to contaminate the air. My roomates actually inhaled a good amount of spore-dosage without their knowing, so now their chests hurt. Not a good thing. That’s why this article is beneficial. Vinegar is a strong enough acid to kill these issues. Bleach also works very well. I actually would probably use bleach first to kill all the colonies, then rinse over with vinegar to deodorize. Now if only we could get the dishwasher drain to work.. but that’s another story.
Besides vinegar, baking soda should also be a staple item in the kitchen. So read on home lovers!

Yes, I am here still in my rented room in San Francisco, bored out of my mind! Granted I am and have been on hulu.com for ages ( 4 hours to be exact) watching wonderfully entertaining shows like BONES and Family Guy. But still I have this yearning ache inside me to get out or do something. I’ve been extremely lazy lately, and busy at the same time, as redundant as that may sounds. Besides the studying of biochem and doing homework for microbio, I’ve just been lying on my lazy butt watching shows after shows. And tonight I actually have the night off, it being Friday and all, but there’s nothing that’s really going on so I’ve decided to stay in. And also that’s why, tonight, I’ve decided to make the most of my staying in… by watching more movies and shows. hahaha. but before I leave, i have to post this video! absolutely to die for! i’d love myself a corgi.

It’s alive! Yes it is. I’ve just decided to jump the band wagon and joined tumblr because it’s so easy to use! Actually, the main reason was because livejournal did not have the option for you to post a video blog (or vlog) and sometimes I just get really lazy to type (like I am right now but since it’s the first one I figure I’ll let the words flow first). Let’s see.. this will be like a journal/DIY/ anything goes sort of site. I’m trying to be more open to things and hopefully with this blog I’ll end up discovering myself! So hello to you and yours, and I look forward to being here. :D
